A downloadable game for Windows

ABOUT THE GAME

Monster Trainer is our game entry for the GMTK Jam ! In the game, you have to train the best monster by upgrading it. Be careful though, after each upgrade, your monster will try to kill you !

The theme of the jam was Dual Purpose Design, a way of designing a game by giving several purpose to a single element. That's why in our game, upgrading your monster will also toughen up your experience. Similarly, walking around will allow you to guide your monster but will also lay down traps on the ground as you unlock more upgrades.

HOW TO PLAY ? (Quick tutorial available in game)

Your goal is to train the most valuable monster.

In order to increase its value, you have to upgrade it. Upgrades are obtained buy leading Blobby (your monster) to the middle of the woody arena when the area is unlocked (green count down). Every time you go into the arena, the middle area is locked for another 15 seconds.

If Blobby or a laser touches you, you die and lose your progress.

Get four upgrades and you win !
